BAHASA INGGRIS : TENSES DALAM BAHASA INGGRIS

 1.     Simple Present Tense

               S + Verb 1
         example : she is so beautiful

       2.       Present continuous tense
         S + Am/is/are/ + Verb –ing (continuous form)
         example : talita is driving a motorcycle to bandung now.

       3.       Present pefect tense
         S + has/ have verb 3 (past participle)
         example : he has already finished his test toefl

.         4.    Present perfect continuous tense
       S + Has/have +been Verb – ing (continuous form)
       example : he has been working in the company since 1998

      5.       Simple past tense
       S + Verb 2
       example : the party started at 09:00 a.m

      6.       Past continuous tense
       S + was/were +Verb – ing (continuous form)
       example : she was reading when I entered in room

      7.       Past perfect tense
       S + Had + Verb 3 (past participle)
       example : when he came last night, the drink had run out

      8.       Past perfect continuous tense
       S + Had +been + Verb – ing (continuous form)
       example : when the guest came, we had been waiting for an hour

      9.      Simple future Tense
      S + will + verb 1 ( present form )
      S + be (is/am/are) + going to + verb 1 (present form)
      example : I am going to meet him tomorrow

     10.   Future continuous tense
      S + will + be + Verb-ing (continuous form)
      example : she will be working at the office when you arrive

     11.    Future perfect tense
      S + will + Have + Verb 3 (past participle)
      example :she will have  finished the homework by the time my father gets home

     12.   Future perfect continuous tense
      S + Will + Have +been Verb –ing (continuous form)
      example : She will have been taking charge of the team for the next hour

     13.   Simple past future Tense
      S + would + Verb 1
      example : she would forgive you

    14.    Past future continuous tense
     S + would + be + present participle
     example : I would be singing in Indonesian anthem last Sunday

    15.   Past future perfect tense
     S + would / Should + have + verb 3 (past participle )
     example : I should have seen ariel noah if I had come earlier

    16.   Past future pefect continuous tense
     S + would /should have +been + present participle
     example : by last Sunday, I sould have been sailing for four day
